Commerce Commission looks to reduce Mastercard and Visa fees

Simply tapping your card or phone for payment was meant to make transactions quicker and seamless - instead it’s costing many shoppers millions of dollars a year.

The Commerce Commission believes this is too much and is consulting on reducing the Paywave fees for Visa and Mastercard payments.
